Dr. Murphy grew up in Upstate New York and received her undergraduate degree from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), in Rochester, NY.
Following medical school at the University of Rochester School of Medicine, she remained in Rochester to complete her residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at The University of Rochester.
Dr. Murphy is board certified, and a member of numerous professional organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Association of Reproductive Health Professionals. Her clinical interests include family planning, contraception, infertility, and advanced laparoscopic surgery.
Dr. Murphy enjoys spending her time outside of work with her family. She also enjoys downhill skiing, reading, and is a former rugby player.
